About Us

Our ancestors held a vision of a time when women would once again gather in sacred circles and ceremonies, uniting to empower and uplift one another in the profound remembrance of our feminine essence. This gathering allows us to reconnect with the timeless wisdom of being women, transcending our perceived limitations, and embracing the nurturing embrace of Mother Earth.

The wellspring of healing and wisdom resides within each of us, both as individuals and as a collective, as we are all interconnected beings on this beautiful Earth, nurtured from the ancestral seeds of our grandmothers and born through our lineage to share our unique healing gifts with the world.

MEDICINE WOMAN is dedicated to inspiring women by blending modern and ancient arts, crafts, dance, music, and enlightening talks. This journey gently awakens the wild and innate wisdom within every woman, allowing her to embrace her inner beauty and unlock her profound inner knowing.

‘When women gather, great things will happen’- Leymah Gbowee

MEDICINE WOMAN is nestled on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, on the outskirts of Boscastle in North Cornwall. It's a truly magical costal location steeped in the Celtic history and folklore of this outstanding area of natural beauty. Tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table can be discovered at the legendary castle of Tintagel; visit the Mermaids' altar at Bossiney; Boscastle's Witchcraft Museum, the enchanted St Nectan's Glen waterfall and the grave of the 'Fighting Fairy Woman of Bodmin Town', Joan Wytte, at Minster Church are all a stones throw from this stunning location.

Step onto this sacred soil and reawaken the wild essence within you as we, as women, rekindle our profound connection with the Earth. Here, we embrace her wisdom and rediscover the art of living in harmony, reestablishing our sacred bond with our Earth Mother and relearning the dance of reciprocity. Because MEDICINE WOMAN is more than just a gathering; it's a journey of self-discovery and remembrance. As we immerse ourselves in the sisterhood and connect with our greatest mother, the Earth, we open the door to a world of endless possibilities.

This is a co-creative sanctuary where you can receive and savor every moment. A space where you can heal and transform your sorrows into golden threads, where children become part of our village, and where you can feel nurtured and inspired. It's a place to lay down your armor and return to your true self, where your essence is fully embraced and witnessed by all.

Children's Area

Our children's area is set right next to the camping field. We welcome all children up to the age of 5. All girls and teenagers are welcome.

Our children's area will have an array of activities for all ages from crafts, singing, nature inspired activities, forest school, children's yoga and so on.

We will also have a quiet mammas tent for breast-feeding mammas and for young children needing some downtime.

Our children's area will be monitored at all times with 2-3 volunteers who have previous experience working with children. The aim is to create a crechè system where you are welcome to leave your child if you wish to go to a workshop child-free. This is done on the basis of reciprocity in that you would then offer some time in the area to support the volunteers at another time, this is how we create a village.

All volunteers supporting the children's area be enhanced DBS checked and first aid trained.

Community Kitchen

Inspired by last years incredible co-creative kitchen, this year we will be teaming up with some amazing organic, vegetarian, gluten free, refined sugar free chefs and our amazing volunteer team to create 3 meals per day that you can buy via a token system. These tokens can be brought prior to the gathering or at the gathering itself. We will be using fresh vegetables from the land itself, planted and nurtured by the amazing team known as crops-not-shops.

To be eating organic food straight from the land feels so important for the remembering of our relationship to the land.

Leave No Trace

Leave no trace is deeply rooted in our vision. All our produce will come as much from the land. We will not be using any disposable crockery in our community kitchen.

We have teamed up with a community who makes incredible eco friendly reusable wooden cutlery, plates and bowls which you are welcome to buy for an extra cost at the gathering.

On Site Facilities

TBA - Please bear with us as we connect with our new nesting place.

We will make sure there are hot water showers, compost toilets and all major facilities for your comfort.

We will have a certified welfare team who will be first aid trained and trauma informed to support with anything that may arise throughout the gathering.

 Access and Disability

We have a designated area for anyone who has a physical disability that is closer to the main workshop space. There will be a disabled toilet on site and the showers are accessible for those who may struggle with high steps although there is a small step.

The site itself, may not be fully accessible for those in a wheel chair due to the uneven ground. We will be working closely to ensure that we are fully accessible in the future.

If you are wheelchair bound and have a desire to come, please email us and we'd love to support where possible.
